Germany's Best Online Shops 2023 - Prestigious e-commerce award
Award winner by consumer vote from around 80,000 customer opinions.

Berlin, 19.09.2023 – Wide range, 24/7 orderability, home delivery – these are just three of the reasons that speak for online shopping. The large consumer survey conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) and the news channel ntv answers which providers are top. Around 80,000 customer opinions decided üon the best companies in 102 categories.
The award „Germany's Best Online Shops 2023“ will be presented today at the Bertelsmann Repräsentance in Berlin. (Broadcast reference: ntv Startup Magazin, Saturday, 23.09.2023, 10:30 a.m.).
„An overall high level of customer satisfaction characterises the online shop sectors evaluated. From the range of products, customer service and Internet presence, to ordering and payment terms, to the aspect of shipping and return all areas scored positively. Only the price-performance ratio is viewed somewhat more critically by price-sensitive consumers, summarises Markus Hamer, Managing Director of the German Institute for Service Quality. The best online shops from the customer's point of view and thus the prize winners include e-commerce giants as well as specialists, such as Amazon, Conrad.de, Hellweg.de, Tchibo.de, Samsung, Zalando, Ahrens + Sieberz, ATP-Autoteile.de, Kenwood.de and Valentins. Catja Stammen, Editorial Director of ntv-Wirtschaftsmagazine: „Through their individual shopping experiences, consumers are predestined to judge the quality of online shops. The Consumer Award is therefore an important e-commerce yardstick and a helpful guide before making a purchase decision.
Within the scope of the population-representative consumer survey via an online panel, customer satisfaction with online shops was surveyed in the areas of price-performance ratio, range of products, customer service, website/app, ordering and payment conditions as well as shipping and delivery. Many individual aspects were taken into account, such as product quality and variety, advisory skills on the phone, by e-mail and chat, payment options and delivery options, shipping costs and speed, and returns processing. In addition, the willingness of customers to recommend the company was taken into account in the overall result. A total of 1,001 companies were evaluated; 884 online shops with at least 80 votes each were included in the individual evaluation. A total of 79,969 customer opinions were received.
